ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE
SUTHERLAND STILL AT LARGE “Dominion” Special. Palmerston North, February 14. Ernest Taniwah Sutherland, who is wanted on a charge of attempted murder and arson at Awalmri, is still at large. Following on the report that he had been leen at Bulls, a thorough searcli was made of that quarter, but it proved fruitless. The Parewanui Pa, Katana’s settlement, and also the Maori villages nt Tokorangi and Onepuhi were also visited. The latest hospital reports are to the effect that Mrs. Drummond, one of the victims, is making a satisfactory recovery. Mrs. Sutherland, however, is still in a serious condition.
