RONGOTEA NOTES
A verv successful garden party in aid of the Church of England was held at the Vicarage grounds on Wednesday afternoon and evening last. The grounds were in beautiful order, and were lit up by electric light in the evening, when the large crowd presented quite an animated spectacle. Several stalls did excellent business, and numerous competitions were conducted, with the result that the funds will benefit to the extent of about £4O. Stalls were conducted by kiesdames V. Smith, Rose, Ransom, A. D. Scott, Sandercock, Tremaine, Wright and Misses Florence, Newdick and McGee, and thev and other . willing helpers were congratulated on a very successful effort.
