AT ATHLETIC PARK TO-DAY. At Athletic Park this afternoon there will bo seen in action R. A. Rose, tho greatest distance runner Australia, or New Zealand has produced. Also Jackson Scholz, the Olympic champion and world's record holder, and Lloyd Halin, another world’s record holder. there will also bo the cream of Now Zealand s athletes in all branches of tho sport. Scholz and Hahn arc now just about at the top of their form, and aro expected to giro a great exhibition of runring. Tho race between Hahn and , 5 ? over ono mile should bo one of tho best races over the distance ever seen in New Zealand. Scholz will bo up against the best New Zealand sprinters in Jenkins, Lcadbottcr, and Pans, and with tho starts he is giving them ho taiß have to break records to win. Tho times of the chief events are an f0110w:—2.45 p.m., 100 yards heats; 3 p.m., ono mile; 3.45 p.m., 220 yards; 4.50 p.m., 440 yards. . A very fine supporting programme has been arranged, including several cycling events, and an exceptional afternoon s sport is promised.
