PRESIDENTS CONFER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Dunedin, February 11. A conference was held to-day of presidents of the Dominion industrial associations. Those present included Messrs. E. H. Marriner (Christchurch), J. A. C. Allum (Auckland), F. Campbell (Wellington), J. Hogg (Otago Manufacturers’ Association), I. Somerville (Dunedin), J. W. Collins (secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce). It was decided to ask the Government to reopen the whole tariff question and undertake a revision of it. The Australian exhibition train was discussed, and it was decided to take in hand the organisation of a similar publicity scheme in New Zealand. The holding of a New Zealand shopping week throughout the Dominion was recommended.
