— — NEW MANAGER APPOINTED. “Dominion” Special. Auckland, February 4. The appointment of Mr. C. Bartley as manager of the Auckland Savings Bank, in succession to Mr. J. M. Barr, who has retired after 46 years’ service, wns made nt a meeting of directors yesterday. Mr. Bartley has been on the staff of the bank for 43 vea’-s, having begun, ns clerk in 1883. The retiring manager. Mr. Barr, joined the staff in 187 D as junior. At this time the staff numbered four. The amount to the credit m depositors wns less than 2160.000. while the corresponding sum on bis retirement was in excess of £4,s(H).fiflo.
