ALLEGED NEGLIGENT DRIVING
WOMAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL By Tclbgrafh.—Press Association - Auckland, February’ 4. Arising out of the death of Mrs. Emma Thorburn, 68 years of age, who was knocked down by a motor-car in Newmarket on January 8, Margaret Ester Rogers was charged in the Magistrate’s Court with' negligent driving and causing the death of Mrs. Thorburn. Deceased left the footpath to board what accused said she thought was a moving tramcar, or to pass behind it. Just as accused was about to reach her she stepped One wheel passed over her. Accused was not going more than six miles an hour. Accused was committed for trial, bail being allowed in the sum of £lOO
