AIANAGER DENIES COMPLAINTS. Hr Teleguai’l!.— PiiCso AssoCia i :on Auckland, February 4. The eleven remaining members of the Australian Ladies’ Pipe Band deny the suggestion in the Sydney cablegram that they were having an unpleasant time in New Zealand. The manager (Mr. Darwin) says that if any of the seven returned girls had said anything to convey the impression that they had not been well treated by the people of New Zealand, there was no truth in it. Tlie members, including the seven who had gone, had been most hospitably entertained. Their only grievance was against Government officials.
