NEW DEPARTMENT?
SIR FRANK HEATH, INQUIRIES The Prime Minister has enlarged thescope of Sir Frank Heath’s scientificindustrial inquiries to include primary as well as secondary industries. Sir Frank will next week investigate dairying and other industries in the Waikato. His visit has of course given an impetus to the movement for the application of science to industry, and there is some speculation as to whether the ultimate result will be the creation of a new Department mobilising experts now to be found in various Depart? nients.
