RUGBY LEAGUE
LAWS OF THE GAAEE. (Rec. January 21, 7.15 p.m.) London, January 20. The Rugby League Council, at a meeting at Alanchcstcr, decided to ask the New Zealand League by cable to explain the reason for the additional note to tho players’ transfer agreement. The council decided that in future all matters relating to the laws of the game must be dealt with by it. New Zealanders want permission to exercise the option in respect to the two years’ qualifications.—Reuter.
