LOSS OF LIFE AND DAMAGE

Describing the terrifying character of the storm which passed over the Canary Islands, and which lasted., for three davs reports from Las Palmas say there was 'not a single house not damaged. Six bodies so far have been discovered, but the number of victims and the extent of the damage on the rest of the island is not known.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
