PALMERSTON PERSONALS
Mr. S. E. Whitehead, of Palmerston North, left yesterday morning for Central Otago, where be will spend several mouths in quest of better health. Mr. W. T. Penny, secretary of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, is visiting Eltham for about a fortnight. Mr. S. Bishop, of the telephone department at the Palmerston North Post Office,- left yesterday for Napier on transfer.
Mrs. E. C. Garnett, accompanied by her three eldest children, is spending a holiday in Dunedin and is expected to return to Palmerston next week. Mr. F. J.. Nathan, Mayor of Palmerston, will leave for Wellington this morning in connection with local body business’. On Monday be will proceed to Dunedin to attend a meeting of the New Zealand Institute' of Horticulture on January 27 and the Municipal Association’s conference on February 4. Mr. Nathan will probably return to Palmerston North on February 6 or 7. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Swallow and family have returned to Palmerston after spending the holidays at Otaki.
