NEW RAILWAY STATION OPENED

Wliakatane, January 20.
The Taneatua Railway Station was officially opened to-day by Mr. F. F. Hocklv, M.P., in the presence of a large assemblage of visitors and residents. A special train brought 200 people from Tauranga and wayside stations. Mr. Hockly congratulated the district on having a railway running through the fertile Opouriau Valley. Congratulations were also offered by Mr. C. Is. MacMillan, M.P., members of local bodies, and Mr. Sullivan (Mayor of Whakatane).
