The interest taken in Hawke's Bay schools by the New Zealand State Forest Service is shown by the fact that it has recently scut to the secretary ol the Hawke’s Bay (Education Board a small sample box containing panels or New Zealand wood, several of which it intends to distribute among# schools in the district most interested in forestry (states the “Hawke’s Bay _Heralil”). The box, which is beautifully polished and finished, contains twelve panels of different varieties of timber, dressed and polished on one side, and tialjiral on the other.
