A writer in the "Daily Mail” describes a pretty effect obtained by a housewife—-a clever flower painter—who had painted “parrot” tulips, yellow and red, pink and.white, most realistically on’ the wainscot, as if they were growing up from the ground. '1 his was a new variation of lanscape wallpapers and painted walls. A green carpet of the old "moss” pattern added to the effect.
