MAKARA COUNCIL
WEEKLY HALF-HOLIDAY' FIXED.
The Makara County - Council held its first monthly meeting for this year yesterday', Councillor E. Windloy presiding. ’ Others present were: Councillors L. C. Rryaut, S. S. Styles, J. W. Bell, S. Bowler, H. J- Monoghan, and D. Prosser. It was decided to fix' the statutory half-holiday for the county on Thursday afternoon for 1926, the same as it was for last year. I In accord with a petition from ratepavers in the Porirua Riding, o. special Older is to be made altering the riding hiundii’ies. This means that two properties now situated in Porirua Riding will be transferred into the Makara Riding. The change will take place as from ' April J. '.
