The continued dry weather is having an appreciable effect upon the fat Hockin the district, and the bookings at the Taruheru freezing works show that less stock will be offering during the next two weeks than lias been the case up to the present (states the “Poverty Bav Herald”). Milk lambs have been coming forward steadily since the works opened at the beginning of the month, be with a continued dry spell these will be going back and less, lambs will be received into the works in January. Conditions on the Coast arc better than around Gisborne, and the stock '.here is in very fair condition.
