Furness) said there were a number of deli sylitfn 1 camping places on the area referred to, and the Department was talking of putting up sanitary conveniences and fireplaces to encourage motorists to camp there. The locality was a beautiful one, and was near enough to halfway between Blenheim and Christchurch. He understood that the Department was endeavouring to get one of the local authorities to take over control of the area, so as to prevent abuse of the camping ground, and he did not know whether it had been successful in this, but motorists would await further information with inter- .. .. .... .. .
