SUN SPOTS VISIBLE
TWO LARGE GROUPS Two large sunspot groups, fully 90,000 miles long, are now visible, one near the eastern edge of the sun and the other south-west from the centre, according to Air. G. V. Hudson, of Karori. Both can be seen easily with the naked eye through smoked glass. Three much smaller groups are also visible in the western hemisphere of the sun. The group near the eastern limb promises to be one of exceptional magnitude, and will be favourably placed for observation during the next five or six days.
