POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICERS
INCREASE IN SALARY SOUGHT
The executive of the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association, which has been sitting in conference for the past week; waited upon the Postmaster-General (Hon. Sir James Parr) yesterday morning with a request that the maximum salary of the rank and file be increased proportionately with the increased cost of living. The deputation was attended by delegates from all over New Zealand. Sir James Parr, who was about to leave for Auckland bv the afternoon express, intimated that he would give the matter due consideration on his return from Auckland next week.
