In tho Supreme Court at Wanganui, Samuel Finch, of Oliingaiti, was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment for indecent assault on his young daughter, anti attempted incest. The Judge said that the ease was the most disgusting he had heard.—Press Assn.

A reproduction of C. F. Goldie s and L. J. Steele’s painting "Arrival of tho Maoris in New Zealand,’’ is issued with the number, by permission of tho trustees of tho Auckland Art Gallery.
The third edition of the attractive booklet. "Sunny Nelson,” has to be acknowledged. Like its predecessors, the booklet contains <i wealth of information concerning the city and the district, and should serve as a valuable guide to visitors who elect to spend a holiday in this favoured portion of the Dominion.
