THE AWARUA. The Chatham Islands Fishing Co.'s steamer Awarua is expected to arrive back at Wellington at any time now from the Chatham Islands. A wireless message received by the owners from tlie Chatham Islands stated that the vessel left W’aitangi last J’riday for Wellington, but as a south-westerly gale was raging it is thought that, the ship ran for shelter Into some out-of-the-way bay at tlie Chathanis, and this would account for her being overdue at Wellington. . ... The Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department (Mr. A. Markman) received tlie following message last, night from the officer in charge of tlie radio station at Chatham Islands:—"7.3o p.m.: Constable lias just returned from making Inquiries re Awarua, but no definite information available. Anolher messenger Is leaving for Wiiangaroa Harbour, wliere the vessel usually shelters, at. daylight to-morrow. The weather and sea have now moderated.”

THE TUTANEKAI. The Tutanekai arrived back at Wellington yesterday morning from Auckland and subsequently berthed at Clyde Quay Wharf, where she is to undergo some overhauling. The vessel is due here on December 2, and will sail finally front this port at daybreak on December 5 for Southampton and London, via Panama and Curacao. TREMATON DUE TO-DAY. .The A. and A. The Northern Company’s steamer Rarawa. which has been laid up at Auckland for overhaul and survey, will leave for Onehunga to-morrow to re-enter the Onehunga-New Plymouth service. The Canadian Challenger arrived at Tlmaru at 9.30 a.m. yesterday from Lyttelton, and was to sail last night lor Dunedin. The Hororata was still delayed in loading at Waikokopu yesterday by bad weather. The Devon, now loading at Napier, next proceeds to Waikokopu.
