The "Evening Standard’s” political correspondent says: “It can be stated on high authority that Britain is prepared to send plenipotentiaries at a time and to a place mutually agreed on to seek an agreement either on the limitation of under-water craft or their entire abolition, and also the consideration of wider subjects. "It is felt in diplomatic circles that a Disarmament Conference will be a complement to the signing of the Locarno Pact."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. JAPANESE OPINION UNCHANGED Tokio, November 17. Naval circles regard the proposal to abolish submarines with interest, but do not comment beyond stating that their opinion expressed at the Washington Conference is unchanged.— Reuter.
