The Prime Minister (Hon. J. G. Coates) is expected back at Wellington on Friday. On Monday lie will proceed to Dargaville. The Minister of Lands (Hon. A. D. McLeod) will leave to-day for Hawera, where he will be the Government representative at the opening of the A. and P. Association Show. He will proceed to Eketahuna on Friday to deal with several departmental matters, returning to Wellington on Saturday. On Monday he will join the Prime Minister and proceed to Dargaville, returning later to the Marsden electorate.

The Minister of Education (Hon. Sir Tames Parr) will leave for Auckland today. He will opeiuthe new Epsom School on Friday, and will deal with matters in the Auckland Province affecting his offices before .eturning to the capital. The Rev. W. H. G. Cameron, of Rotorua, has been appointed to the parochial district of Te Karaka, Poverty Bay.

The death was reported last evening of Mrs. Thomas I’aterson, of Nganiawahia. Mrs. Paterson was one of the oldest' residents of Nganiawahia, and was connected with the early settlement of the Waikato. The Hon. R. b. Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs, who was a close friend of the deceased, will leave this morning to attend the funeral, which is to take place tomorrow.

Dr C J. Reakes, Director-General of Xgriculture, left for the south last night to attend the exhibition at Dunedin. He will return to Wellington at the end of the week.
