COMMITTEE REPORTS. Br Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, November 16. The General Assembly of the Frsbyt.erian Church continued its sittings today. „ , , The Church Property Trustees’ report was adopted, also that of the Supply and Appointments Committee. The report on the unification of regulations re charges was adopted. Considerable discussion took place on the right of call, the proposal of the report being adopted after many opinions had been expresed. Deputations were received from all denominations in the city and welcomes were extended. Members of the New Zealand Alliance addressed the assembly and received an enthusiastic promise of support and "sympathy. Mr. D. Calder, representative or the British and Foreign Bible Society, was also receivcd. In discussion on the Temperance Committee’s report emphasis was laid for educating the young . on. temperance principles and a determination was expresed to carry on the fight. A deliverance which was adopted urged on the Government tho necessity to introduce into the schools scientific instruction concerning the effect of alcohol and urged that in view of legislation to be introduced in the near future their people should impress on members of Parliament hte need for a two issue ballot paper or preferential voting.
