GREAT PARACHUTE JUMP
20,000 FEET FROM AN AEROPLANE. (Rec. November 16, 9.25 p.m.) Vancouver, November 15. At High River. Alberta, Flight-Lieu-tenant Carter made a parachute jump of 20,000 feet from a Forest Patrol aeroplane and escaped injury. The jump is believed to be exceeded only by the world record of Captain Arthur Stevens, of the United States Air Service, who jumped 26,000 feet. —Reuter.
