CIVIL ENGINEER’S DEATH

At an inquest concerning the death of Benjamin Bagley Coustou. a civil engineer, of Dunedin, who fell from a motor car into the Waiau River on October 6, the Coroner said that a post-mortem examination had revealed that death was not due to drowning, but to laceration of the brain, which would cause instant death.. Deceased was a wall-known civil engineer, and his death would be felt by all. classes of the community. The verdict was that death was due to injuries received as a result of a fall from a car.
