The Wanganui police received news yesterday that William O’Rielly (aged 36) has been missing from his camp at Kerekau Downs, on the Wanganui River, since Tuesday last. He left the hut as his mates were retiring, and when he did not return they made a search. They found traces of a man haring fallen over the cliff on to a papa ledge and then into the river.—Press Assn. The Secretary, General Post Office, advises that the following special weather forecast was broadcasted by Brisbane radio during last night: “Cylonic disturbance centred S p.m. east from Broad Sound, probably moving southward; intensity increasing.”
