INCREASED CHARGES FOR WEEK DAYS
The Reserves Committee recommended the City Council on Thursday to take steps to obtain legislation during the coming session to enable the charge for admission to the zoo on week days to be increased to Is. for adults.

Councillor B. G. IT. Bum said that , one in Wellington would begrudge the extra Cd. the council was asking in order to bring the zoo up to a respectable standard. Councillor W. I. Thompson said that a tallv had been kept, and it had been found that from 70 to 80 per cent, of the people who visited the zoo were visitors to Wellington. Th* recommendation was adopted.
