PETONE FIRE BOARD
Following is the quarterly report of the Petone Fire Board to be submitted to next Wednesday’s meeting'"'©! the board •— During the quarter the brigade has been called out on six occasions. None of the outbreaks were of a verv serious nature. The plant and appliances are in first-class order. Drills have been held every week and have been attended and carried out bv the brigadesmen very efficiently. All alarms of fires have been very smartly answered. During the quarter the brigade competed at the United Fire Brigade Demonstration held at Christchurch, and were successful in being placed third in the three-men coil and fourth in the four-men reel. The discipline and conduct of the members has been all that could be desired.
