A new scale of fares and concession tickets has been adopted by the City Council for the tramways, to take effect from April 6. The present cash fares of" twopence, threepence and fourpence for the first, second and tl.ird sections, remain in force, but the fourth, fifth and sixth section cash fares are all reduced to fourpence, irrespective of distance. Concession tickets ,have been reduced as follow: — •First section, twopence; second section, one penny; third section, threepence; fourth section, sixpence; fifth section, one and threepence; sixth section, two and threepence. That is to say, for the fourth, fifth and sixth sections a twelve trip concession ticket costs three shillings and threepence irrespective of the distance.
