A paragraph appearing yesterday reported a charge of iour against one Junss, but did not mention that the complainant was John Wilson- Penman. The defendant consented to a bond for £25 for 12 months, and was not “required to furnish it. Nearlv 3000 visitors were admitted aboard 'the Aorangi at Auckland on Mondav night. At 9.30 there were hundreds outside the gates, and, under pressure, the gates gave way. The crowd temporarily took charge, but with the help of the wharf officials and police, order was restored without further unpleasantness.—Press Assn. The Methodist Church of New Zeaund will meet in its annual conference in the Taranaki Street Church this evening at 7 o'clock. The president-elect, the Rev. T. R. Richards, will be inducted and will deliver the inaugural address. The election of officers, including tho vice-president, who must be a layman, will take place, and the. newlyelected vice-president will be inducted.
