AMATEUR ATHLETICS
WALKING PACE FROM HUTT TO WELLINGTON.
A meeting of the Management Committee of the Athletic Football Sports Club was held on Thursday, Mr. Harrison presiding. It was decided to hold a walking race from Lower Hutt to Wellington on Saturday, January 10. Messrs. Blair, Melrose, and Peterson were appointed a sub-committee to arrange details. The event will -not bo confined to members of an amateur athletic club, but will be open to anyone who can sign an amateur declaration. Mr. A. Stevenson was authorised to purchase a javelin for the use of club members fortraining purposes.
