ASIA MINOR REFUGEES
SETTLEMENT WORK IN GREECE (Rec. June 10, 7.25 p.m.) London, June 10. The “Morning Post’s” Athens correspondent says in consequence of an advance of a million sterling from the Bank of England, the work of settling refugees from Asia Minor has been expedited. The original 120,000 agricultural refugee families have been mcreased since the beginning of tjio year bv 20,000, mainly from Pontus and B’ithynia. Out of the total of (3,000 settled in Macedonia, and ioOO m old Greece. Another 20,000 are expected before the end of the year. The necessity of a continuance of charitable aid through the Save the Children and other funds is strongly emphasised.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
