4 RAIN INTERFERES AV ITH PLAY. London, May 8. Rain is interfering with county and other cricket matches. Midillesex scored 243 (F. T. Alarm 55) against Hampshire, who have lost two wickets for 44 runs. Sussex made 196 (E. H. Bowley 99), nnd in reply Cambridge scored 138. Bowling for Cambridge, P. A. Wright took six wickets for 77 runs. Heavy rain made the ground unfit for play, and the South African match was abandoned for the day.—Reuter.
