EX-RANKER OFFICERS

COMMITTEE’S REPORT ON CLAIMS. London, May 8. The Government has issued the report to the committee appointed to consider the claims of professional exranker officers to be treated on the same Exiting as if given permanent commissions, although only given temporary commissions. It concludes that a claim has not been made out, but fully appreciates the hardships and value of the services of claimants, though these are not such as to. justify now the reviling of the conditions on winch they served. It recommends the Government, however, to appeal to the employers’ sympathies to consider the claims of ex-officers suitable for employment, and recommends that ex-rankers who failed to qualify for soldiers’ pensions be allowed to submit claims to the War O.V'c-- -Reuter.
