CLERK BEFORE COURT On a charge of failing to account to Norman Baker and Longhurst, Ltd., for £66 10s. 10d., a young clerk, John Alexander Fettes, appeared before Mr. E. Page in the Magistrate’s Court yesterdayin applying for a remand until Friday next, Chief-Detective Kemp said that accused had been extradited from Sydney, having left for there the day after his marriage in Wellington some time ago. “I oppose bail,” .added the chief-detective. “Her belongs to Scotland, and thought fit to leave his young wife the day after he married her.” The remand was granted, but the Magistrate declined to fix bail.
