MAN FOUND DEAD IN CREEK
By Telegrafu—Press Association. Whangarei, April 28. The dead body of Alfred Ernest Clarke (43 years of age), a single man and a returned soldier, was found at 4-30 P.m. yesterday in a creek within the borough at the foot of a steep slippery bank. Deceased had been in ill-health since his return from war service but had never disclosed a suicidal tendency, and death may have been duo to misadventure.
