A. great many onlookers watched the ceremonial march through the streets of the city yesterday morning of some 1200 officers and men from the visiting warships. His Excellency the Governor-General took the salute at Parliament House, and among the official party who were gathered there were the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet, Mrs. AA. F. Massey, whose many friends were very glad to sco her out again after so long a time of ill-health. Mrs. Bollard. Lady Rhodes. Mrs. Parr, Mrs. Coates, and Mrs. Guthrie. . , „ On Anzac Dav the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association received the following cablegram from General Richardson, Administrator of Samoa:— “Returned soldiers of Samoa ?S n< l (meetings to their comrades in New Zealand on this day of sad memory. AA’e reverently join with you in honouring the memory of those who died for our country.”
