Mr. J. Humphreys, cf Napier, is on a visit to AVellington. Mr. C. AV. AVilson. of Wanganui, is spending a short holiday in AA ellington. Mr. J. Stewart Dawson, of Sydney, is a visitor to AA’ellington. Many will regret to learn of the death on Thursday afternoon of Mr. AV. B. Price, licensee of the Duke or Edinburgh Hotel, who had been seriously ill for some weeks. Prior to taking over the lease of the hotel, Mr. Price was the chief steward of the Maori and other of the Union Company’s steamers, in which capacity he was well known. The deceased, who leaves a widow, was 49 y-ars of ageThe death occurred at Paraparaumu, on Easter Monday, of Mr. George Alfred AVilmor McKenzie, son of tho late Thomas McKenzie, and brother of Mr. Lon McKenzie, chemist and Mr. Earl McKenzie, of the “New Zealand Times” staff. Mr. McKenzie served bis time as an engineer and was for many years on tho staff of tho Harbour Board, and had lately been farming in Paraparaumu. The interment took place on Wednesday last. Mr. McKenzie is survived by a widow, three sons and two daughters. Tho sons are Messrs. Charles McKenzie (AVellington). Frank McKenzie (Lower Hutt), and, Raymond McKenzie (Paraparaumu), and the daughters are Mrs. J, McLoughlin (Masterton), Airs. E. Sergent (Mi.w-wwr).
