INFECTIOUS DISEASES
POSITION NORMAL LAST WEEK The returns of infectious diseases notified to the Wellington Health Office during the eight days ended at noon yesterday shows that the position was normal. The returns from the various hospital districts were as follow: — Waiau: Enteric fever 3. Cook: Diphtheria 2. Hawke’s Bay: ,Scarlct fever 2, enteric fever 4, tuberculosis 1, puerperal septicaemia 1, pneumonic influenza 1. Waipawa: Tuberculosis 1. Taranaki: Diphtheria 4. Hawera : Diphtheria 6, tuberculosis 1, pneumonia 2. Wanganui: Scarlet fever 1, diphtheria 1, tuberculosis 1. Palmerston North: Scarlet fever 2, diphtheria S, puerperal septicaemia 1, pneumonia 1. Wellington : Scarlet fever 2, diphtheria 5, tuberculosis 1, puerperal septicaemia 1, lethargic encephalitis 1. Wairarapa: Puerperal septicaemia 1.
