QUEENSLAND RAILWAY ACCIDENT
“EXCESSIVE SPEED AND NEGLIGENCE. Brisbane, April 21. At the inquiry into the deaths of Mesdames Atkin and Mallett, who lost their lives in the railway accident at Gillen’s Siding on February 18, the Magistrate found that the deaths were due to the excessive speed at which the train was driven just prior to the accident, and due to tho negligence and disregard of railway departmental rules.—Press Assn.
