Tho Wanganui Borough Council was on high gear last Tuesday evening, says tho “Chronicle,” and the Mayor, with his foot on the accelerator, completed tlie fortnightly journey at 8.25. It was quite whirlwind going in places, and when His Worship announced that tho meeting had ended, some of the councillors could hardly realise it. One civic father on departing was heard to remark that 'it did not seem as if they had been to a council meeting at all. There was quite a big audience of ratepayers, and they enjoyed the meeting immensely.
