HEAVY SHIPMENTS ABROAD. Heavy shipments of New Zealand apples continue to be made to overseas markets- Up to the present 160,000 cases of this season’s fruit have gone forward. The s.s. Gallic recently took 5000 cases, aud the s.s. Port Brisbane 8000 cases to Monte Video, and the s.s. Waiwcra will leave sometime during Easter with 4000 cases fo? the samo port. A large quantity of apples is going to London. 'Jlie Maiinoa is taking 20,000 cases; the Port Brisbane is lifting 12,000 cases of Otago fruit at Lyttelton; the s.s. lonic is carrying 13,600 cases; and the s.s. Hertford is duo to leave on Wednesday next with 12,000 cases. It is anticipated that the 200,000 mark will be reached before the season closes.
