Members of the Greytown Fire Brigade recently presented ex-Captain .1, Maguire with a gold star medal for his length of service, twenty-one years, from 1872 to 1893, and also as a mark of esteem. From 1863 to 1871, in which ygar he went to Greytown, Captain Maguire was a member of the Wellington Fire Brigade.
