MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD
APPOINTMENT OF NEW MEMBER Mr. P. S. Waldie, Chief Clerk of the Public Works Department, has been appointed member of the Main Highways Board, in place of Mr. G. C. Godfrey, resigned!. Mr. Waldie joined the Public Service nt 1894. when he entered the Public tvorks Department. He was tiansferred to Wellington in 1897. He vas m the Accountant’s branch for 20 years, being then aupointed Inspecting Officer for the Department. In 1.917 he was appointed Accountant of the Department, in which position he was closely in touch with the financing of roads'. Quite recently Mr. Waldie vacated that post, and took up the position ot Chief Clerk in the Department.
