POLICE AND CIVIL The police cases tn the Magistrate s Court yesterday were dealt with by E. Page, S.M. A fireman on the steamer Tasmania, Harold John Simon, admitted breaking a window in. the Columbia Private Hotel. He was convicted, and ordered to make good the amount of the damage, «£4 16s. The default was fixed at seven days' im prison Tjjent. A remand until March 26 was granted in the case of a youth named Arthur Henry Archer, who appeared cn a charge of carnally knowing a 15J-year-o]<l girl.
