The re-trial took* place ut tbe Supreme Court to-day of Laurence Herbert George Gwilliam or. a charge of wilfully delivering to a postmistress for the purpose of beiim de'ivered as a telegraphic message a telegram purporting to be sent by Harry Craill, tho same being sent without tho authority of the said Harry Craill. Accused is a young man, and had been formerly engaged to Craill’s daughter. While the girl was away on a. visit to tho South Island accused sent a telegram and asked her to come to home; tho message was signed “Dad.” Gwilliam was found guilty, and will be sentenced later..
