TO BECOME FARMERS
« ENGLISH PUBLIC SCHOOL BOYS ARRIVE (BY Teleghaph—Bkess association.) Auckland, March 18. The first of the boys from the great public schools of England tio be brought, out by the New Zealand Government to receive instruction in farming preparatory to taking up land in the Dominion, arrived by the lonic this evening. The party consists of eight, ranging in age from seventeen to twenty. They are of an excellent type. 'The prefect of tho party is from bundle, and tho others are from the following schools: —Two from Cranley, and one each from Dulwich, Strand, H.M.S. Conway, Christ’s Hospital, and’ Bradford. Tlirce 'will be placed m tn© vtorohanga district, four in the Dannevirke district, and the eighth at Tolaga Bay. . , The party was nominated ty m New Zealand Farmers’ Urdcffl, which will be’ responsible for their welfare in the immediate future, but they ire wards of the Umler-Sei.retnry for Immigration. (Mr. H. D. Thomson), who met them on arrival.
