On the motion of Mr. A. T. Young yesterday, Air. R. 11. Scott, LL.B., was admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Ccnurt of New Zealand. The Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union last nightpassed a motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Air G. Aliller, of Napier, who at one lime represented the AVellingtou prevnee. A conference of representatives of parties to tho Sydncv coke dispute have decided to submit their organisation’s proposal to tho Industrial Commissioner, which is that he appoint an arbitrator to settle the dispute, both parlies agreeing to abide by his decision.
