The Moeraki is due at Melbourne tomorrow from Wellington direct. She is to sail on the return trip on Thursday, and is due hero on the following Tuesday. THE ESSEX. The Federal Line report that the Essex,, now loading in the Wanganui roadstead' for West Coast ports of Great Britain, will leave there on Thursday for New Plymouth and Wellington. The vessel is duo here on Monday. RUAPEHU TO SAIL 3 P.M. TO-DAY. This -afternoon at 3 o'clock the New Zealand Shipping Co.’s liner Ruapehu is to sail from Wellington for Southamp. ton and London, via Panama. The vessel is berthed at the Glasgow Wharf. THE ROTORUA. The New Zealand Shipping Co.’s liner Rotorua did not get away from Port Chalmers until 6 o’clock on Saturday morning for Bluff. The vessel vvill sail from Bluff on Wednesday for Lyttelton and Wellington to fill up. THE PORT SYDNEY. The 0. and D. Line steamer Port Sydney is due at Wellington on Wednesday evening- from London,- via Auckland. The vessel will discharge part cargo hero, and is to sail next Saturday for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to put out the remainder of her cargo. THE PORT VICTOR. The 0. and D. Line expect the Port Victor to arrive at Wellington to-morrow from Wanganui.roadstead to fill up. She is to sail from here on Thursday for London, via Montevideo. THE WAIMANA. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s Waimana, at present discharging and loading at New Plymouth, will leave there on Wednesday for Wanganui roadstead and Wellington The vessel is due here next Monday, and will sail on February 8 for Napier, Gisborne, Hicks Bay. and Auckland. She is expected to clear Auckland on February 19 for New York, Boston, and London THE TAIROA. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co. advise that tha Tairoa, now loading at Napier, will leave there to-morrow for Gisborne. ATHENIO SAILS THURSDAY. At 4 p.m. on Thursday next the Shaw. Savill and Albion Co.’s liner Athenic will leave Wellington for Southampton and London, via Panama. The vessel is at present loading at the King’s Wharf, Wellington.

OARGO EX PORT ELLIOT. About 370 tons of undamaged general cargo was brought from the wreck of the Port Elliot to Napier for sorting and distribution. The Putiki, due here this morning from Napier, is brintiine* the Wellington portion of the salvaged cargo, amounting to 80 tons. It comprises motorcars and general merchandise. The Make is duo at Wellington to-day or to-morrow from the scene of the wrecked Port Elliot. where she shipped a. full cargo of benzine for Wellington. The Mako was expected to call at Napier, en route, to replenish her bunkers. From Wellington the Mako will proceed probably to Picton to load chaff for the East Coast. The Union Co.’s boats are taking the cargo ex the Port Elliot from Napier to Lytte.ton and Dunedin. The general average on the cargo ex the. Port Elliot will be determined probably to-day.
